Cost Comparison Tool
An employee costs more than their salary
Put the payroll items and the hidden ones in the same table. The point is not price comparison, it is making the decision on real numbers.
Cost Comparison Tool
What does an in-house finance hire actually cost per month?
Enter your own figures and see the payroll cost and the hidden items side by side.
The profiles below are example starting values, not current market data or an official cost calculation. Replace them with your own figures.

What the Numbers Miss
Some costs never make it into the table.
The calculation above only covers what can be expressed in money. The risks of depending on one person usually stay invisible until something goes wrong.
- The operation stalling during leave, sickness or a resignation
- Institutional memory leaving with the person
- The same person both recording and checking the work
- Expecting payroll, foreign trade and reporting from one person
- The ramp-up time a new hire needs
We suggest framing the comparison not as “which is cheaper” but as “what capability and what continuity does this budget buy me”.
Method
How the calculation works
The tool adds up the monthly figures you enter and shows the annual equivalent. The defaults are examples — replace them with your own numbers.
Visible on payroll
Gross salary, employer social security contributions and the monthly equivalent of bonuses. These appear directly in payroll cost.
Not visible on payroll
Meals, commuting, equipment depreciation, software licences, a share of office space, recruitment and training, plus capacity lost to leave.
The result
A monthly and annual total, plus the share that sits outside payroll. It is an estimate to help you see your own structure, not a quote.
Introductory Call
You have your numbers. Now let's talk options.
In the introductory call we set the scope that fits your volumes and share a written proposal. The comparison is then yours to make.
